    Would you buy this?

Have you run into more outrageous private party gun prices than ever before, and would like somewhere to shake your head and laugh collectively? If so, Welcome! This is a thread where you can post the most entertaining gun "deals" that you can find on the inter webs.

This is not about shaming... We're all aware of the free market and extenuating circumstances - covid, civil unrest, shortages, etc... And we're all aware of our freedom to ask whatever price we want. But that doesn't mean we can't enjoy watching this side show. And I would like to give credit to those who entertain us with these "necessary" prices. As we enjoy, lets not ignore the burning question: Would YOU buy this? Chime in and let us know.

Just a couple of guidelines to make it fun:
    - Current Calguns marketplace listings are off-limits (out of respect for fellow members).
    - Try to provide some kind of link, pic, or proof of the "deal".
    - All other websites are in play, GB, Armslist, etc...
    - Consignment guns are also acceptable, as price is set by the private seller.

    I'll start:

Turners consignment: WOULD YOU BUY THIS?
    iTrader: 52 transactions, 100% positive.

But isn’t that Ruger off roster and rare?!? (No I wouldn’t buy it)

    remington umc 1911

How about $9k for this old single stacked 1911? (No I wouldn’t buy it, and would get a new custom double stacked SVI instead for that money)

I have been watching P95 prices on Gunbroker the last couple months.
      $300 is common.
They get up to maybe $350 when they have 2 mags and the original box and manual.
I want the older type with the smooth grips that was made in Connecticut, not the newer one with the fugly grip and the rail from Arizona.
I think my mom will be getting one sent to her in NV sometime this year.

There is a missing print from the bottom of the picture. If the OP he would’ve taken a larger picture we would’ve seen that it said, “gun comes with large bottle of lube and wicked reach-a-round.”

I think a lot of the guns on consignment at Turner's right now are employee guns. They see firsthand the shortage, and are just fishing for suckers. The P95 is a good gun, but it's no more than a $400 gun regardless of the roster.

I had one of those in .40SW. Of all the guns I have sold, it is the only one which I have no regrets.

                Ruger didn't make the P95 in 40S&W.

Perhaps you had a P91 or a P94 which had an aluminum frame.
Either way, it was a different gun than a P95 which has a much more comfortable grip than the aluminum P series frames.

Damn, I'm RICH, I got 2 P95RDC's! I'm gonna hold out for $3K each though...

                    <sarcasm font off>

P series Rugers have ALWAYS been a well kept secret bargain in the "off roster" world, and I probably wouldn't part with mine as they are designated "inheritance" pieces, but if you wanted a darn accurate reliable pistol (and effective blunt object if you run out of ammo), a P series is pretty hard to beat... I suppose my kids might consider a trade for a PS/5....

Ruger was my go to for many years. Have a P89 and 95 still that I thought of selling. A friend needs to get his ducks in a row and buy my 95 that I offered him for $600. I did include 3-10 round mags and 300 rounds of 9mm for that price so I thought I was reasoned.

What about the member selling a P232 stainless for $500 - until he realizes they are off-roster (does the member also know they are no longer produced?) and jacks up the price to $1,200.

AND admits to this being the reason for jacking up the price!!

How about "registered" lowers for $500 - nothing even fancy or high end about it. The same kind of "lower" you could have bought for $79 plus fees not that far back?

I just have to share this deal I saw in my lgs when I did a ppt:

                              Highpoint C9, price: $650

And it was gone when I picked up my gun!
