I assumed this was going to be an anti 2A thing from the title, but definitely not [emoji106]

Would they still have the non-resident permit though? I have one and it covers a lot of states.

I still have a Utah permit as well, although I think it only adds WA to my Tennessee permit, I'll still pay to renew it.

Utah kicks butt, I love that state.

              I believe so..

Arizona still offers a CCW permit because it gives additional privileges.

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer signed a bill into law, allowing Arizonians 21 and older to carry a concealed weapon without a permit, background check or training class. Of course you’ll still have to legally be able to own and carry a firearm in order to take advantage of the new law. Thus, we get a lot of questions from potentials students about why they would embark on taking a class and incurring a cost to get a permit if one isn't necessary anymore in order to carry a concealed handgun. Below are the various reasons why: Reciprocity - If you

                Reciprocity

Keeping a CCW process would help with reciprocity when Utah residents travel....

Yep.. I wouldn't want to travel to NV to get their permit.

Excellent and as it should be. All gun laws are unconstitutional.

Let's hope they go with Arizona's model and keep an "enhanced" permit and still issue it to OOS residents!

Permits (as an option) are fantastic anyway IMO, at least the training part of it if nothing else. It's good info to know you can't shoot someone for stealing your bicycle etc... Yeah we know this, but every class I have attended (5) there has been at least one or two people completely unaware of their legal rights and constraints and the possible consequences when using deadly force. Also making at least basic training available for those that are unfamiliar with firearms use.

I've enjoyed and learned something from each and every class.

Montana should go along this path in the next couple of months as well. It's been passed in the legislature multiple times, but a dim governor has vetoed it at each opportunity. Big majorities for R across the board this past election including the gov.

I will continue to renew my Utah non resident permit if they continue to offer it, which I suspect they will. We are full constitutional carry here in Idaho and still offer resident and non resident permits.
