Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I won't pay to contact a seller. I can see charging the seller, they are going to have a positive cash flow once their item sells.

The other that chaps me is that there are just as many if not more scams now than before.

I paid the $4 and promptly found an NOS Rem 700 in .223 for $300 less than the going rate. It's en-route now.

More scams now I think.... some people actually feel paying means fair people... my ***... I have been using calguns for years and never a problem. Just found a Kimber K6s DASA in 2 in. on there, and have been looking for one. figured the guy would post here, but noooo....

The problem I have with paying, even for just one gun, is what if that ad is a scam. Now I'm out money for nothing.

As long as it took you to post here you could have done it. It literally took me 3 minutes to sign up, cost me $3.99 from my bank account. Jeeeze a soda and a pack of chips costs more than that. I just cancelled afterwards.

It's not worth $4 to buy a gun you want in 2020?

About 5 of 100 guns are not scams.
About 4 of the 5 guns that are real are overpriced.
The 1 gun that is viable, the seller lives on opposite side of state or is not responsive.

Yep, I've done a ton of deals there, you do have to know how to separate the BS from the real deal, but it's not difficult. I buy from real sellers, gun stores and such... Or local meet/greet sellers. I never do used PPT from a distance.

Anyway, the OP seems willing to deal with this person... just doesn't want to pay $4 so it's not about scams, it's about a cup of coffee.
