My gun store is $50 for a box of 50 9MM.
    Cash only.
I doubt they do a check.

I think $30 a box is fair in these times. So 500 rounds is $300 bucks.

I'd sell for near what I paid but would feel free to round up a bit.

How much rounding up depends on how close a friend the coworker is.

If it's 9mm FMJ and I paid $0.20/rd I may charge $0.25/rd even though it's currently triple that or more.

Make sure you let the coworker know that a bargain was provided.

Why should now be any different?

I had several friends out to the range ( couple new firearm owners) I took no money for the ammo I supplied.

The buddy deal is that you have some to sell him. Price should be close to market. Your inventory was purchased with money that could have been invested in something else. You have to treat your ammo inventory like any other investment. You wouldn't sell your buddy shares of Tesla that you bought for $50 for $60 just because he's your buddy.

            He's a co-worker, mark it up a little.

If he's a co-worker that is an actual friend and not just an acquaintance, sell it at your cost. If he needs a few boxes, give to him.

Whatever the sticker price was 2 years ago before the panic.

I sold .22lr during the .22 shortage for what I paid years before. Still had the original price stickers.

When I take new people shooting, the first trip- Ammo, range fee and coaching is on me.
                  Same here.

I don't keep track of what I paid and anything would be a guess. My friends don't want to shortchange me.

For selling ammo, anything in the ballpark of low market price is ok with me. They would have to cover any fees.

Me personally I would tell a coworker to go to the store and buy it.

I've been telling friends for years to stock up and a couple never bought any. They asked how much I would sell them some and I told them I don't have any for sale but Turners is stocked. Not my fault they don't have any.

He isn’t your buddy. He is someone you know. My friends get what they need for cost or free. They are family to me. They are the ones I call for help.

Replacement cost. Don't forget shipping and tax costs.
                            Use Ammoseek.
Prices are not going to return to what they used to be.
