Nope, untrue. Hell, about five years ago I purchased several guns from a member here who'd moved down from Oregon. He was selling a 75+ gun personal collection to raise a down payment for a house. He sold them ALL on here in a matter of weeks.

I've sold more than 5 in a year. Tons of people have done it and continue to do so.

OP, I think unless you're committing other crimes and are on their radar, you should be okay. This is just something they would probably tag on to other charges if they ever arrested you on some sort of gun related issue. I don't think buying or selling one day before the end of the year is going to make it or break it.
