Guess I will have to sell some ammo this holiday season. Wow I am so out of touch as I never thought about selling ammo.

Is that the company who cancelled orders to resell them at a higher price during the sandy hook time?

I would love to dump some $1000 cases on the market if I knew I would be able to buy them for $200 again.

People on gunbroker have paid as much as 1.25 per round. They weren't very savvy though because it isn't hard to find for .60-.70 per.

Same old - these guys were always the first to gouge, whether it's ammo or magazines. Their store, their rules, our money, our decision...

Has there ever a time in which they actually lived up to their name, Cheaper Than Dirt? I understand that their pricing is based on "market demand," and it's fine that they do this (I have never, nor will I ever purchase from them), but it's deceptive when their pricing model, by definition, is the market rate, and not "cheaper."

Most of us who've been around long enough know better than to purchase from them (I think I figured this out within a matter of weeks since first coming to Calguns), but I keep seeing these posts that seem to suggest that people are still trying to buy from them. As much universal derision they face, not just here in California and perhaps even more so out of this state, it's a wonder they've managed to stay in business.

Gavin Newsom is a lying, cheating slickster and will be is the worst mistake California has ever made if he gets now that he has been elected Governor. Hollywood movie producers look to him and his oleaginous persona as a model for the corrupt "bad guy" politician character. This guy is so greasy, he could lubricate an entire arsenal of AR-15s just by breathing on them.

When CTD first opened, they were just off my run on Fridays to General Dynamics in Fort Worth. I'd stop in on the way home. Sales folks and management at that time were mainly good ol' boys with no attitudes. They had a 40 foot wall tightly packed with guns, great surplus from all over, and prices cheaper than smaller local Texas gun stores. In summary not a bad place to shop.

Iirc, the change happened with a change in ownership, no idea when. I wouldn't walk in to piss on their floor now.

The company that shall not be named started blatantly gouging just before Obama’s first term, but had run out of deals a few years before that. After the 2012 panic I think the last of their surplus just was cleaned out and they became just another online import junk peddler.
They still had cool stuff in the 90’s and early ‘00’s, used to look forward to those catalogs.

How soon we forget that Spike's stomped the crap out of their normal pricing before both of FBHO's elections...they were among the first.
