    I try to not get into confrontations with armed people, if they are stupid enough to walk out while I am still shooting, I will stop shooting but not say anything to them. Lecturing them about calling a cease fire could escalate. I would also consider leaving the range since if they are that stupid, they are likely unsafe to be around.

      wife and i go to outdoor range. while their public is supervised, we choose to book the private bays every time we go. unsupervised, so that makes us both r.o. so that we can thoroughly enjoy the day safely and not interrupted by long ceasefire as public does. we shoot and pause/break at our own pace.

                I wear plates on BLM, I bring a blow horn to yell “cease fire”, I’m on my toes when shooting on BLM or even the desert. Can’t be too safe.

                  I’ve witnessed this at both spenceville and oroville. No way in hell would I not say something. I did. I did it tactfully and respectfully and no one was hurt thankfully.

                    oh hell yeah, i was that annoying kid shooting his grandpa’s 22 with a banana mag, wondering aloud, “grandpa, why are all these beer cans out here?”

                    RIP grandpa, miss you man

                      hmm...i walk down my driveway to my own range...

                      fenced, gated and locked, bermed with a warning sign (pistol and rimfire calibers only/eye and ear protection required beyond this point)
                      TURNING and turning in the widening gyre
                      The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
                      Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
                      Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
                      The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
                      The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
                      The best lack all conviction, while the worst
                      Are full of passionate intensity.

                        Pretty wild place that I remember. Ricochets flying overhead. People in the next clearing out changing their targets while you were still shooting in your clearing. Last time I was there in the early 1990s, some black guy was driving down the road behind us shooting a handgun up into air doing a "What are you going do about it" stare down. What I did about it was get the hell out of there.

                          i usually keep away from people. If someone wants to set up next to me i usually let them know their is plenty of space and no need to setup right next to me. that works 50% of the time. I of course am that bastard that sets up and takes the whole hill so they are forced to shoot at other locations.
