Public, non supervised, bullets are flying range, couple walks out to set targets:

Does it make a difference if you're the only one there but down to your last 50 rounds?

Keep shooting, no motorcycle helmets needed in CT, no need to baby everyone, they took the risk.

Stop shooting and talk to them about calling a cease fire before walking out on to a hot range.

Safety is paramount and it is important to communicate regarding unsafe acts and how to avoid them.

If that happened to me, I would pack up and leave after talking to them. I wouldn't be able to trust them shooting close to me.

Side note: now I want some bacon.

You (being the smart anyone to respond here) had better be the bigger person by stopping shooting. Give them a chance to put their stuff up, and talk to them about range safety. If they do it again, and you're not looking somehow, or looking down a scope, at least you have CYA. Get it on video even. Do what you have to do.

50 rounds are more than enough to dispatch 2 people

Was this on BLM land? People picking option 1 is what worries me about non supervised ranges.

I picked option 2. I’d stop shooting and leave. If they have that little regard for their own safety, they are very unlikely to give an F about anyone else’s

I was at a outdoor supervised range once and some idiot starts walking out to post a target during live fire. RSO yelled cease fire and chewed this nimrod out.

I actually had a guy flip the lights and walk down range. He didn't say a word. And If you wear a ball cap, you can't see the lights from a firing position at my range. I was just about to insert another mag when I saw the dumbass.

Stop shooting. Call (loudly) a Cease Fire! Have a sidebar conversation about safety and range protocol.

I don't know if I would pack up and boogie. It would depend upon the specific situation.

This is called: Every single trip to Oroville Clay Pits

Heck, I’ve been downrange with other people setting targets and some other idjit starts slinging rounds down range.
