          Steyr Aug
          Galil

All of them are very expensive and somewhat difficult to acquire. I just don't justify spending that much money on a firearm. If I was disgustingly rich, it would probably be a different matter.

A Porsche just becomes another car after a couple years, and then you'll wish you had the new model. A select fire Colt is really something special, and they ain't making any more of those for civilians.

I actually would have chosen the Colt and then perhaps I would have bought the car later.

A real Belgian MAG 58. Expensive but the best there is and likely to ever be.

                      M1A Super Match.

                      I don't need a .308.

                      I don't need another .308 class rifle.

I don't shoot competitively such that I need a target rifle built for a specific competition.

But I'll be darned if I haven't wanted one of those since I was very young. They're just expensive so I've never come around to buying one.

I have procrastinated as it is a bit higher than I want to spend - a high quality Schofield repro. It would simply be a range toy. Most of my other guns fill a role, be it hunting, competition, etc. It would be used once a year, at least, in my club's OK Corral match every October....

Does this thread only apply to firearms? There is a lot of ammo that I would like to buy but it is unobtainable at the price I am willing to pay.
