    In most cases, yes they can correct an astigmatism with lasik or prk; BUT, know going in, that having 20/20 following surgery does not mean 20/20 the rest of your life. Your eyes will continue to change as you age. 12 years after my surgery my astigmatism returned to the point that I needed reading glasses (distance vision was still OK). Now 17 years after my procedure, I am considering a full time wear prescription to correct for distance too.

    I was 20/200 before my surgery, so 20/40 with an astigmatism 17 years later, I would say surgery was a success.

      Thanks guys, going to look in to lasik down the road after we get caught up on some things.

          Had my eyes done here years ago - was satisfied. Solved my astigmatism and glasses problem. Half what I would have paid in California.
