I like the videos and books from Chris Sanjog and his "How to shoot like a navy seal." His videos and material from a couple of marksmanship books helped me take it to the next level.

I appreciate Sanjog's material on intense, pinpoint front sight focus (its nothing radically new...but emphasis and his tips were helpful to me).

I also have read and re read many times, The Perfect Pistol Shot, by Albert League.

    Another book:
Gun Digest Shooters Guide to Handgun Marksmanship, Peter Kessler.

These books were very helpful for me in terms of understanding the how and why and how to put it all together. Obviously each author has their own take and focus, and sometimes there is info that is conflicting or of a different style. That is up to you to evaluate and sort out and learn from.

I think its in Albert League's book (or was it Sanjog's book..?) where he talks about practice and repetition to the point where your subconscious mind takes over during the process (the sights align and your body and gun take over...lol). I think it makes complete sense, for a lot of things in life actually: like driving, sports, maybe your job, etc.

I think in the books by and about Jim Cirillo of NYPD Stakeout Squad fame, he talks about the subconscious mind just takes over during some intense shootings he experienced during his career.
