Depending on what your denial letter says.
You can always do your own firearms record review livescan to see exactly what's on your record. If you have disqualifiers that need to be cleared if possible or contest information you feel is incorrect.

I had a DV misdemeanor 13 years ago, California pc states that its a 10 year ban, but i was still denied , i thought after 10 years im clear?
its a shame i have no rights , during these crazy times to god forbid try into protect my family in case of an emergency.An Army of Lions commanded by a Deer can

DM misdemeanor, violated probation which i was not even aware at the time in 2007, i was not even at fault, and never got to defend myself in court, and the accuser left the country, and when she tried dropping the charges, judge stated, the crime was committed, which was not EVER true. In addition to the 10yr state ban, you may be subject to a federal lifetime ban. If the person who was the DV victim was related to you in any of these ways, you are banned for life (unless you can get the conviction set aside or otherwise have your rights restored):wow, thanks for everyone's reply !

- by a person with whom the victim shares a child in common
- by a person who is cohabiting with or has cohabited with the victim as a spouse, parent, or guardian
