If you bought it as complete lower, with stock, while in vegas, the 4473 should still say other. There is no california dros so dealers here might not want to transfer as pistol. But you might be able to register this pistol here first then sell.

Stripped lowers are usually transferred as "other" in free states and you can build it either way.

According to the interweb, AR pistols are about to all be SBRs and require Federal Tax Stamp per the ATF. Not sure how CA is going to deal with this. Also there's Miller v Becerra being decided in Jan after the election/inauguration, Jan 21 or something.

Hopefully your pistol lower is DROSed as a semi-auto pistol. If I were to sell mine I'd just PPT the lower and sell the other stuff separately so the gun store doesn't have anything to say. Put a high price and let people talk you down. See what happens.

I heard about this over a month ago and put my AR pistols in NFA jail with form 1s. Efiling is very fast and easy for form 1s and I contacted the BATF yesterday and the turn around currently is 2-4 weeks. Some have been approved in 6 days.

I'm not sure we can even do that in CA (SBR with NFA), just the assault weapon registration to CA. So what can the OP do, moving to CA, just turn it into a featureless rifle?
