I tried searching for this but couldn't find the answer. We are moving to NV in December and I'm trying to find out if I need to de-register my firearms or deal with any other exit process. I do not own any AW's, just some off roster pistols and numerous long guns. From what I read in NV's laws, I just show up and enjoy my freedom.

No exit process. When in Nv go through the process to obtain your CCW. Even if you do not carry, it allows you to forgo the background check at an FFL, which allows cash and carry purchases, and saved many days during the worst of the background check backlog earlier this year.NRA Life Member CRPA Life Member

Yes, when you get to Nevada, you need to register to vote there and vote RED, so you won’t have a 2A reason to move out of Nevada later, when it turns completely Blue. And sell all your CA Off Roster Guns before you move and replace them for half the price when you get to Nevada, regardless of the current delays.Comment

Yes.
Make a list or all your firearms, including serial numbers. Secure them in locked containers on your way out of state. As you get to the state border. Stop on the side of the road. Get out of the car and face toward California. Life your right arm with a clenched fist. Slowly extend your middle finger and pump the hand up and down 3 times. Optionally, after doing the above exercise, you can relieve yourself and pee on CA soil just before you finally leave. Come back and visit and tell us all how great it is to be free.Comment
