Like I said before, the acting ATF director is a leftist and a gun banner. How the hell she got into that position is something that should never have happened. She's not even the real director, just the ACTING director. The President needs to flush her ASAP!

If they are going to start classifying pistol braces as an SBR, f*** it, remove it and replace it with an adjustable stock...Might as well since they are turning us law abiding citizens into felons because of a law they suddently create

Interesting ATF picked on Kevin Brittingham’s company to single out. Counting on the industry not backing him up 100%?

            Remember this?

Except that it’s doubtful Q has sold 700,000 HBs.

Meh they didn't get their pistol brace approved. While they shouldn't have to this didn't seem like a big thing as most companies just get an opinion letter and call it a day.

Nothing was mentioned about LOP in this specific instance - the ATF simply believes that the specific pistols were designed to be fired from the shoulder, which makes them an SBR.

No it's not. At least not here in free states where local and state police have already said they won't enforce it.

Secondly that opinion came from the Boston Field Office and not from the typical firearms technology branch.

So for me this only applies to this pistol in question and possibly the other 2 but also the Noveske Ghettoblaster.

If it comes down to it, IF Biden somehow wins the election I will just SBR my mk18 Pistols and call it a day. Not an issue at all.

The issue isn't about their opinions, the issue is about them changing their minds -- they are actually not allowed to do that without providing a "reasoned explanation" (https://supreme.justia.com/cases/federal/us/556/502/) as to why.

So yes, once they "gave birth" to pistol braces, they are legally obligated to live with pistol braces forever unless they can provide a reasoned explanation as to why they are changing their minds.

Tagged for later outcome. Very strange interpretation IMHO.

These “opinion letters”, while not binding law, are a good barometer of what the ATF would like to do to gun owners in general. Being that most of us here are in a state that is openly hostile to the constitution, I can imagine that the CA DOJ would like to expand on ATF opinions in any way possible, as long as those “opinions” further reduce the 2A.
As always, caution is in order. If you use a brace, be mindful of the bad actors.
