So which new gun store or stores are complaining people going to open? A ppt only store!

Probably none to be honest but they will continue to complain about everything and anything!

It’s kind of like the people that complain about the police but then will never take the next step and apply to make or be the change they are complaining about!

Some people complain about everything and think there right about everything, we need more gun shops and FFLs in Ca not less!

If you truly want to complain do it with your wallet! I bet a lot of the complaints are coming from new shooters/ gun owners.

Mods, please sticky this if you see fit.
There are too many sob stories (true or false) on the forum about unknown places.
I agree! But also will add the stipulation that you MUST state whether or not the guy at the counter was fat.

For those asking why you would out a shop that gave poor service or incorrect information costing you time, money, and stress, this is how the culture changes. If that shop feels you have no choice but to deal with them they will never improve. Let us speak with our dollars.

For example, would you go to a restaurant where you walk in, they tell you where to sit, tell you what you are going to eat, tell you how much to tip, then tell you when to leave? You would never stay, let alone go back. If they have a failing business model we should have more awareness in the community.

I will also add that just because someone had a badd interaction, that doesn't mean someone else didn't have a good one, even Turner's every now and then has a proponent! But at least folks can make up their own mind and nothing is stopping anyone from going to any FFL.

We already get restaurant reviews, and then some, from a certain CG member. You know what they say about guys with small tips, right?

I think TTRS mentioned the FFL is Seller's friend or a place Seller frequently visits. Also he's gun is currently in that FFL's possession. So I can understand if he is worry by outing the FFL and he might read the thread and all of sudden the gun has scratches on the finish or whatever.

Maybe next time wait till the transaction is totally complete and then post your story and outing the FFL.

Actually, what we NEED is a complete elimination of ANY gun shop to be an FFL to begin with. All these federal, state, and local laws are a total sham, and only create another bureaucracy that does nothing.
              PPT’?.....street corner
              Ammo?.....anywhere, including the net.
              Roster?....WTF is that?
New firearm?...any place that wants to sell them.
Paperwork?......uh, a receipt is enough, if you want it. Ca$h & carry all day.
America, the way it used to be, the way it should still be.

Didn't see the original thread but how about we name the GOOD stores/FFLs that are still supporting us and PPT transactions?

                I'll start. . .

KW Defense in Stockton. I did multiple firearm and ammo transactions through them since the Corona shortages even though they were clearly busy with more profitable transactions.

RSU Armory in Ione. Bob is a great guy, retired LE. Not a retail store but great FFL.

We have a lot of new members in 2020. They don't understand the maze of convoluted spaghetti code that CA calls laws. FFLs such as this can give them woefully bad information, and one that is willing to break property to prove their point is one that should likely be avoided by these 2020s that already have enough of a confusing new world to deal with. I mean, just look at my signature. Assuming that this isn't all a story that was made up, there are FFLs lying to people out there that there is "no such thing as new guns." And these new 2020 members actually believe such FUD. It's just not good for the new members.

It's not a matter of beef, it's a matter of protecting the broader 2A community, especially those that don't yet have the experience or knowledge to protect themselves. This FFL acting in this manner does not do these new members any favors.

Again, there's been an FFL that went as far as to confiscate a weapon and submit it to police, mistakenly believing it was an illegal weapon. It was not, the police said as much, and promptly returned the weapon to the individual. During this time, the individual was quite worried/anxious, as he felt he had done nothing wrong, which in fact, he did not. This individual did the right thing, which was name the FFL, and inform the community such that they could avoid such potential critically mistaken interactions. Do we really want to be enabling of such types of behavior, especially with the newer bulk of our community? Naming the FFL isn't for bashing purposes, naming the FFL is a service to the broader community such that other people don't end up a victim.

I'm all for supporting my local FFLs, I buy stuff locally and pay extra even when I can get cheaper prices at other FFLs or from Gunbroker or out of state, just because I realize the difficulty of operating an FFL and the important service they offer, but none of my FFLs have ever treated me in such a manner, and thus, I feel comfortable recommending them to everyone on a regular basis.
Duly noted. I appreciated your comments in the original thread and certainly side with wanting to inform others from an educational standpoint as to what the proper rules and regulations are. I've posted a followup thread after picking up my firearm this morning.
