If your GF is a citizen she can buy a gun for herself...NOT for you.

May the Bridges I burn light the way.

Life Is Not About Waiting For The Storm To Pass - Its About Learning To Dance In The Rain.

Fewer people are killed with all rifles each year (323 in 2011) than with shotguns (356), hammers and clubs (496), and hands and feet (728).

If you really consider yourself an American, and returning to your country of origin is not feasible, then obtaining legal standing should have been your top priority.
When I was in college, I had a professor from Germany, probably born in the 40s or 50s. He had worked hard to become a citizen. One of the students asked him why, all it is is extra stuff you have to do. He almost lost it. He could not imagine seeing becoming a citizen and being able to do everything that comes with being a citizen.

Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances you now find yourself in a difficult situation, but part of the reason you find yourself in this situation is because of the decisions you made. Maybe some refugee status could help your case, but nothing is going to get you a gun before November. Maybe a bow?

The good news, being an illegal alien, is that the law doesn't really apply to you.

The bad news, being an illegal alien, is that the constitution doesn't really apply to you.

A quick google search returns this ATF information, from here https://www.atf.gov/firearms/qa/may-...chase-firearms

May aliens legally in the United States purchase firearms?

An alien legally in the U.S. is not prohibited from purchasing firearms unless the alien is admitted into the U.S. under a nonimmigrant visa and does not meet one of the exceptions as provided in 18 U.S.C. 922(y)(2), such as possession of a valid hunting license or permit.
You are not here legally, you are simply exempt from being deported. So that answers your question.
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

                      It's also worth noting

all records obtained by the National Instant Criminal Background Check system (NICS) relevant to whether an individual is prohibited from possessing a firearm because such person is an alien illegally or unlawfully in the United States shall be made available to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)
If you want to stay under ICE's radar, then attempting to purchase a firearm is probably not a great idea.

So, it begs question, did you change your mind, or were the people saying you were a troll correct?
