Funny but true, the fullsize gen 3 frames are easy for me to manipulate the mag release, it's the subcompact that gave me fits until I put the Glock extended one in.Comment

I am a fan of the extended controls - take down, mag release, and slide stop, so I upgrade to these on all my Glocks. They might get a barrel swap, upgraded sights, stainless pins and a minus connector. It just varies from gun to gun.NRA Life MemberComment

On my two 34's, both HD, just sights (Trijicon HD night sights in yellow), Surefire lights, and I ground down the little trigger release thingy that's in the middle of the trigger so that it is flush with the trigger and not proud of it when it's full pressed. 'Makes for a much more comfortable trigger.
Oh, and instead of a full 25 cent trigger job, I very lightly smoothed some surfaces and then lubed everything with a very light smear of tungsten disulfide grease. Very smooth triggers now.Let us not pray to be sheltered from dangers but to be fearless when facing them. - Rabindranath Tagore

Peep sights on a handgun is very interesting. I wonder if it's easier than the bladed sights to be accurate.Comment

I bought a used slide once with a custom firing pin plate. I found it to be very distracting when acquiring the front sight.
I do however swap out to a (-) connector, VZ grips, and the sights of my choice. Before there was Polymer there was Accuracy.Comment

I've heard of people replacing the guide rod with a heavier metal one - Is it worth it at all or is it just snake oil?Comment
-
The above is my go to on all four of my Glocks except for the take down. I took a one hand class and found off-hand manipulations to be overly difficult with stock parts.
I also replace stock plastic sights with stock metal night sites... the plastic ones get destroyed when you try one hand manipulations like racking the gun on your belt, shoe, etc.
Otherwise, I don't screw with them... it is a flipping gun and not a Gucci purse.
