    Forms of california legal AR's

I'm sure there's lots of posts on this but last I checked and it's been a while but if you have some sort of mag lock such as an ARMaglock you can have a pistol grip and if you use something like a thorssden stock you can have a removeable magazine. Am I right on those? And what's the deal with magazines larger than 10rds?

Armaglock, everything else is good, pistol grip, flash hider, adjustable stock, forend grip. No 10+ mags.

If everything comes off, then mag release ok. And 10+ mags.

When I built mine I used a brand name muzzle break so it wouldn't be a question. Some are flash and brakes so be careful. Picture?

The Thordsen gets you part of the way to featureless (no pistol grip, no adjustable stock), but you could still easily have an AW if you have a flash hider and detachable mag.

You really need to be damn sure of your muzzle device's status as to whether or not it's a flash hider on a rifle you want to be featureless. If you have any doubt at all, take it off.

I don't see how anyone could be sure of their muzzle device. CADOJ has never really clarified what is a break and what is a flash hider.

About all we think we know is a A2 birdcage is a flash hider. After that your best guidance comes from the marketing material of the manufacturer. If it's advertised as a break then it most likely is. CADOJ has said marketing material plays into the decision.

One gray or maybe not so gray area is hybrid devices. Some are sold as reducing flash.

If you are worried buy a break or even better a thread protector and swap it on.

Do you need a washer or crush washer with a thread protector? or maybe just some blue loctite?

Don't waste blue lock tight on your muzzel device. Really it's useless on anything that gets hot.

There are a few manufactures that say use rocksett as it has a higher temp rating but really you should just get a standard break call it a day.
