It was one of their pet guns (P226 Mk25) so they don't want any negative feedback. Why listen when you can sneer at someone who just spent more than a grand on one of their pieces of crap?

picked up this P229 off Gunbroker yesterday - not cheap but i wanted it

could've got the same gun with 3-10 round mags for less but i chose to win the one on bid with the 3-15 round magazines

next up my search for a Glock 43x or 19 Gen 5

Wonder if you can convert it to .40 or .357 SIG with just a barrel change.

Isn't the difference in slide/frame color because the slide is steel and the frame is aluminum?

I have purchased a number of used guns off of gunbroker.com, and all of my purchases have been good prices. I have seen some guns get caught up in bidding wars, and I just back out of them. If you are patient, you will find what you want at a good price. Timing and patience are everything, when it comes to getting a good deal.

The slide is stainless steel. I don't know what kind of finish it has. It doesn't look the same as blued carbon steel.

If I remember correctly, .40 or .357 barrel will not fit 9mm slide so you have to buy the slide with the barrel.

                        Right, aluminum alloy.

that almost happened to me this morning, bidding on a Glock 19 5 gen

in the last 15 minutes of bidding i kept having to go up in increments of $5.00 against another bidder, which also kept extending the auction time - after my last bid i remembered seeing a "Buy It Now" NIB Glock 19 5 gen being offered by another seller for LESS than my last auction bid against the other bidder, plus the shipping was $15 cheaper AND no additional 3% credit card fee, which is pretty standard with many of the Gunbroker sellers

anyway, after realizing my boo boo (should've never made that last bid) all i could hope for was my competition beating my last offer - which he did

so, i bought the "Buy It Now" Glock and it ended up costing me $42.00 LESS in comparison to the Glock i was bidding on after totaling it out - SO GLAD i got "outbid" on that one

NIB Glock 19 5 Gen, same amount of magazines 3-15 rounders, could've saved myself some bidding time from the start - the only thing that came out of my bidding was i ended up costing another gun owner more money to win the auction - not much i could do about that
