Need some Sig advice

i like this SIG, not much into buying used guns so im not sure if this SIG P229 is already overpriced or how high i should realistically go - auction ends tomorrow - also does it look like the slide has been refinished or is that factory?

I have a CPO 229 E2 that has a slide that looks like that FWIW. Works like a dream.

I tend to use riflegears website to check prices. Even with the plandemic going around, their prices have only gone up moderately

speaking for myself, i'd pay between $800-900 for the all black. $900-$1,200 for the two tone.

They definitely look like all the right parts. The Combat Special frame color is a bit off. It could be from the way the image was captured, but the first looks fine.

Just be aware that I don't think the second one is on the CA roster list. It may be difficult to bring it in.

i think it sold for $1000.00 - seemed a bit high for a used gun

looked like a bidding war toward the end and i didn't want no part of that

I sold one for under $500 a couple years ago but it didn't have the pic rail on the bottom.

i don't have to worry about the CA roster, i live in NV now, but we're still having trouble getting firearms in locally

Look for something else, something not a SiG. If there's a problem with your gun, their customer service tells you straight off you don't know how to shoot 'their' gun. Eff 'em for an attitude like that.

I have never had this problem with their CS.

yep! the frame is lighter than the grips. my wife's p226 combat is like that.

I bought a Sig P229 brand new about a month ago - looks fine. I paid $999+taxes/fees from Sportsman’s Warehouse.

They get Sigs in every few weeks and they get snatched up within a day so you have to check in 2x a day if you want to get a new one from them.

They also had a P229 Elite for $1050 about 3 weeks ago, but I had just bought the regular one but was tempted to buy it!

that Elite Stainless they have on their site is really nice - i check with SW every few days, we have one just a few miles away from the house

i have a few places i need to call tomorrow, see if i can get lucky, there's nothing locally
