Only have a sedan and have to bring ancillary stuff like steels, canopy, range tools. But usually about 3 and 3, that lasts me about 6 hours.

two handguns at indoor range usually a 9mm & 45

one or two handguns & one rifle at the outdoor range

makes cleaning & maintenance easier when you only have a couple guns to clean.

I try to stay with less than 10. I enjoy cleaning guns as much as the next person, but that's enough cleaning for me.

Years ago I used to go to the range once or twice a month and I would bring 2-3 guns. But in the last couple of years I only get to the range once or twice per year. Yes, I know. Pathetic. But when I do go now I bring a truck load and spend 6+ hours shooting everything.

I used to spend a lot of time cleaning after each trip but now I'll mostly just give them a good wipe down and run a boar snake through the barrel if I'm feeling ambitious.

I take better care of my bolt guns but that means wiping them down after every trip and cleaning every 300 rounds or so but I'll go a lot longer sometimes.

Monthly indoor range fees include free use of rental firearms. Clean up? None.
Sometimes a gun is just a gun.

If it’s an outdoor shoot 4-6 depending on how I feel. Indoor range 1-2.

I bring about 6 each trip. I am not a big gun cleaner guy but will clean them all about every 3 months. My shtf ones get cleaned more often. Light oil is my friend.

I used to bring several rifles and several handguns just in case one of the two ranges was full.
Now, I'm a lot more focused - usually three or four total firearms and ladder test loads, or five shot loads if I found an accuracy node from a previous trip, and a crapload of support gear (spotting scope, chrono, brass catcher, tool kit)
