1 or 2 max, the more you bring the bigger the cleaning chore after.

          1 or 2, but usually just 1.

When I first started shooting I wanted to bring everything and shot a few rounds through each. Now I bring one, shoot a lot of rounds and run different drills so I can get good with it.

Fear the man that only owns one gun. He probably knows how to use it.

If I'm shooting long range rifle I'll bring my main rifle and something else to shoot while the barrel cools off. Sometimes I'll bring a pellet gun.

            Indoor range — one.
Outdoor range — one, but sometimes two.

Really depends on what I'm going to the range for and what goals I've set for myself at the range.

Think my record was bringing a dozen firearms to the range, though frankly half of them were simply there so I could put a couple magazines through them to verify they were functioning correctly after replacing parts or fixing them, so they didn't take up alot of time compared to other firearms I brought.

Usually my average tends to be 4-5 firearms, usually an assortment of handguns and rifles, in which my most frequently carried carry handgun tends to reliably take up a good chunk of my rounds/time shooting to stay in practice with it.

I used to bring 5 or 6, but got tired of cleaning them.

                Nowadays, max two guns.

Sometimes I bring one, other times 10. I have never really thought about different calibers or guns being a limitation. Granted, laziness can keep my variety down but that’s on me. I suggest the proper range bag. Osage river range bag size large is what I use. It fits my 5 pistols just fine. I also have a rifle bag, it’s made by savior. 55” 2 sides for two rifles. I can fit more weight on those bags than I can comfortably carry. So if you get the right equipment, this should not be a concern.

Also, don’t buy a 1911, buy 2 1911’s! The first must be in 45ACP tho. There was a man who broke from this rule. His name was...well we don’t talk about him anymore.

EDIT: I am the weirdo that likes cleaning my guns. I get prepped and just go slow. Again, having the proper setup for this was a game changer for me. At first I didn’t have bore snakes and oil. For my 1911’s I like to finish with oil. Anyway, there is really no wrong amount of guns to bring to the range. I notice a lot of people selling guns on the marketplace with 0-200 rounds through it. I wonder, do these people buy these guns and don’t like how they shoot? Do they buy 500 rounds and call that good? Do they all have 50+ guns and can’t get around to shooting them. It doesn’t matter, but if you really want to be good at something, you’ve got to do it a lot. So if that means just bringing 1 or 2 guns to the range, that’s not a bad way to go. Just do whatever works best for you. Happy shooting!

If I bring my two teenage sons, it’s usually the case of 5 .22 handguns, three or four .22 rifles and a couple 9mm handguns. And maybe one of the .44s for fun.

If it’s just me it totally varies, one or two rifles, or 2-3 handguns, or one or two shotguns.

Rifles, it can be up to four. Bolt guns and single shot rifles are easy to clean. A Garand, M1a, AR15, takes three times as long to clean, and I have been up very late cleaning those.

Pistols, as a general rule, three. Anymore and it takes too long to clean. I will typically shoot 150 rounds per pistol and with 450 rounds down range in a day, I flinch worse than a Kennedy when they hear a loud noise.

I usually use steel targets and have to set them up, therefore I usually bring two pistols and set up short range targets, or two rifles and set up longer range targets. I agree with others it's a pain for bring several guns and then have to clean them all.
