List all the CA-compliant crap in the Marketplace, and make some of your money back.

I didn't sell anything when I moved to WA. I actually didn't have any off-roster guns, but I wouldn't have sold them anyway, because I thought I had a use for them. Once I got a WA carry permit, I realized that most of the "carry guns" I bought while I was in CA (where I always lived in no-issue counties), weren't the best choices for me - mostly they were too big. I also gave up hunting in favor of fishing. So I did end up selling all my long guns and a bunch of pistols here in WA, which paid for all the guns that I actually do carry now as well as all my other shooting expenses for the next few years.

And I lived happily ever after.

1.) Assuming the Roster is still in effect, I would sell all my pistols, except for my 1911's, as all of my remaining pistols are non-roster.

2.) I also plan to buy all my replacements 2nd hand in a free state with no records.

Sold several off roster guns before moving to South Carolina made a killing and bought the same guns here for less than half price , bought all three the same day and took them home in a half hour. If you have a CWP here you can take the gun immediately , don't you love a free state. And gas today is 1.66 per gallon

I sold a P226 SAO, Shadow, P938, and STI 9mm 1911 before i left. Assuming gun laws dont change dramatically (i.e. Biden/Harris), it shouldnt be too hard to replace things once the market calms down. It's a great feeling to be able to buy something on Riflegear's website and then swing by later that day to pick it up.

Considered selling my silver chrome Hi Power before I moved to AZ. But since they are no longer made finding a replacement would be difficult plus there was not much difference in pricing compared to a free state.

That's a great question now that I think of it. I have a house in both states. I have a DL now in Idaho. The pistols are still in CA, registered, and never left the state. I own a residence, utilities and all that stuff still in CA too. This may make the decision easy if I can't sell them now cause my DL changed states.

                    Just get a California I. D.
California still considers you a California resident.
The new off Roster handguns you purchase in Idaho MUST stay out of California.

Time is on your side until you cut all ties with this state.
                    Buy two....sell one
Keep CA. H.D. firearms until the divorce is finalized.

                        No.

That is a difference, but there are many more. The biggest thing is that there are really no "modern" pistols on the roster. All of the pistols that are on the roster were designed before the microstamping law went into effect back in 2013.

Some other features or lack there of in off roster guns is the magazine release safety and the loaded chamber indicator. Both of those things are frowned upon by many people. Me personally I don't care one way or the other about the LCI, but I don't like the magazine release safety.
                        Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

One of the only things I left in California when I left was piss running down the "welcome to California" signs.

I've been selling what I don't need or whatever I can easily replace when the panic reaches a lull. If it lightens my load and lines my pocket, its a good thing.

I'd be selling some clones for the more collectable real thing. Sell Golani and buy a Galil, Sell Imbel FAL buy a FN.

Problem is even if I could buy anything a lot of the stuff I want is outa my budget either way.

It is amazing... even bigger than their Plano store was. The range looks great too, planning on checking it out tomorrow!
