Place bets on when gun & ammo shortages will stop

As per title, when do you think the shortages will end.
Also when do you think pricing will return somewhat back to normal.

Some predict the end of the year, others spring 21, others summer 21, then others say never........

My optimistic view is that shortages (especially ammo) will ease up by end fo year, pricing will likely take till mid next year.

Then again I really have no idea, but so see some items pop up from time to time.

I think it'll last until the manufacturers can actually get in a full staffed work week. So once a real vaccine hits the market ?

There are two ways it can go due to the upcoming election.

If trump wins, fall 2021 should see normal prices coming back

If trump loses, 2025 at the earliest before prices and supply comes back

Not until the Wuhan Flu becomes a footnote, maybe spring or summer 2021.

I recently read that Magtech ammo company has ground down to a 40% production output because of supply chain issues and Covid-19 compliance for workers (social distancing, less workers). I was told from one of my LGS guys that ammo companies and some gun manufacturers have slowed production because of covid. Some of us will remember after Sandy Hook, ammo factories were working overtime, especially cranking out .22 LR ammo. These days, I don't think that is happening.

              This.

And if Biden wins, expect the ammo/component shortages of the Obama era to look like times of plenty.

Wouldn't this be better with a poll?

This time next year, since Trump will be re-elected.

                    Wait, there’s a shortage?

I think you are pulling my leg.

In the last 3 months I have bought a bunch of guns including a LCP with laser, P380, glock 23 and a German built P229 for $300, $250, $600, and $800 respectively. There’s more ammo than I can shoot for years in my safes and components for over 40,000 rounds in my lockers.

I call BS on this whole “shortage” hoax.

When Obama got elected it took a good 9 months for prices to settle down didn't it?

Depends on how much have to burn through between now and then.

Old problems are like dry poop, if you let the dry poop sit it doesn't smell but the minute you decide to stir the poop with a stick, the smell comes back. Moral of the story, Don't bring up old problems!
