I stopped in a little Army/Navy store in the mountains of NC one afternoon, ca. 1992, and the proprietor had a BOX full of Vietnam era un-issued Colt, 20-rounders, for around $5 a piece, as I recall. I was a poor college kid at the time, so I only bought ten. I sold 'em all years ago... but wish I had 'em back!

I'd still swap the follower for a Magpul, though.

Not that the one you think is fake is real..

But you should look at allthe different variations for comparison.

Any idea how much the ones with aluminum followers are worth? I have a few they look like they have no finish on them or it wore off.

neat ive not seen those but the key thing i would notice is the lack of the steel locking tab the holes on the front are also a good indicator

How bout on 30's, were there any fakes made as well? I have some Colt 30's that have parkerized black bodies which I thought was weird but I'll have to take a better look tonight.
