    I remember being at the range one time and guy was shooting a 45 1911, shot 200 rounds and left the brass, I asked if I could pick it and he said that was nice of me but he can clean up his mess, we got to talking and he thought I offered to pick up brass and throw it away for him. He didn't even know ammo could be reloaded (or at least he claimed not to) and had thrown away his brass for years.
    Some people at the range, just pull the trigger and know nothing else.

      I've been known to leave good brass at the END of the day. When the old guys are there at 5:30 the next morning, it's like a scavenger hunt - I leave 'em a little treasure.
