possible
Anything is possible, but posts like this were common place when obama was clearly going to be our next president too. He was a great salesmen, biden, his vp, a demonic congress and senate would be a pretty good salesmen too. If they sweep as our media projects and wants so badly it could take us until the mid terms to recover. That is a lot of time without adding ammo. I have mine on a spreadsheet and I feel good about what I have - but wouldn't sell any of it.
If Biden wins and the Dems take Congress, availability of guns and ammo could be drastically reduced or eliminated by legislation. So this could be a new normal, or the beginning of the end for gun rights at the Federal level.
Current conditions might be as good as it gets, it could get even worse if more federal gun control is enacted. Which is a given if Biden wins.1. Compared to what?
2. At what cost?
3. What hard evidence do you have?

I'm still making mine +labor $15/hour for $9 a box. But today I was just curious at the current prices... No Inv at Sportsmans for multiple handgun calibers. $25 for SnB 115 FMJ. I'm going to be using small magnum primers soon and maybe even small rifle cause I can't find any small pistol primers.

What happened to all the people that said 9mm wasn't worth reloading! I'm well stocked up on components and casting supplies. 9mm costs about .08 cents a round for me to load. Find a friend that is willing to help reload and you will not have any concerns. Be prepared !! Stock deep high and wide!!Comment

When I worked in my time at "minimum" wage it wasn't worth it before. Think about the time it takes to source all your materials, then sit down and work it, at best with 2 hands and 2 feet working constantly I can only get 400 per hour. What happened to all the people that said 9mm wasn't worth reloading! And how long you want to pay down your equipment. I calculated 2 cent per round was going to take 8k rounds to break even. Currently at 2.5k.Comment

I consider myself still new to firearm ownership experience.
Few questions.
Anyone know the price of 22lr(range ammo, federal) before Sandy? During? And After (6month+ after all sandy sensationalism died)?
Before covid, it was 4.5c per, during covid(now) (it is 6c to 10c per), After(?).
Was Sandy After price lower than Before Covid price?

Its totally insane right now. Glad I stocked up last year when prices were "normal". But I'm not shooting any 9mm right now thats for sure.
.22lr is approaching 20 cents/rd now. And thats just lead projectiles. Copper coated .22lr is long gone.
Wolf 9mm is $17/50rds on targetsportsusa!!!!
2 weeks ago I got 1300 rounds of Federal Match copper coated .22 for .08 cents a round including shipping and my FFL fee from Palmetto. Palmetto has offered deals but you got to be quick.Comment

Not sure if Sandy was a driver of any long term panics but I knew that Iraq 1 and 2 were. So was Obama just coming into office. 1k of 556 was delivered to your door for 300 no tax and no shipping, sometimes with a rebate just 1.5-2 years ago.Comment

My prediction, here in writing, and I hope to be proven wrong, $45 / box of 50 brass case for major brands.
Reloading for me has not been a way to save money on minor calibers, it has just been a hobby to use equipment I already had and a avoid the $1 a background check transaction fee and ensure a less disrupted supply chain. So far so good, though primers are on every reloaders list of things to keep an eye out for.
Major calibers and 50 DTC, reloading is the only way to get the best performance."The first requisite of a good citizen in this Republic of ours is that he shall be able and willing to pull his weight; that he shall not be a mere passenger, but shall do his share in the work that each generation of us finds ready to hand; and, furthermore, that in doing his work he shall show, not only the capacity for sturdy self-help, but also self-respecting regard for the rights of others." - Theodore Roosevelt, Speech at New York November 11, 1902Comment
