    Depends what happens in Nov....
It could be just the start or we might see things start to settle by spring.
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Each one has a different cause and different shakeout......

This one has multiple reasons, wouldn’t expect it to end quickly. You’ve got a volatile presidential election, a national virus issue, unemployment, economic issues, and major social unrest.

This about sums it up. Variable factors have combined into a perfect storm. Tough to know when this will be over.

          Meh
A lot of people will have tons of ammo they'll never shoot.
A bunch of people will be pissed that they spent twice or more for guns that are now back at normal prices.

this scamdemic is the real problem worldwide. it affects the availability of materials, medicine, and all kinds of products. unless we all go back to the way it was by getting rid of these lockdowns, the problem will continue for a very long time.

There was a panic like this with O'bumble's election - ammo shortage especially. Took about 3 years to get back to "normal."

If Trump gets re-elected, I DON'T think it'll take THAT long... but expect it to happen again in the spring of 2024.

These problems will be more frequent in the future. The scout motto "Be Prepared" should be the by words for smart citizens moving forward.

As world populations grow competition for resources and other issues will increase and results will not bring harmony.

That's why I tell everyone in line about (gun.deals) and how to get whatever gun you want for about MSRP and a transfer fee. Many times shipping is included for gun purchases. People buying 1500 glocks are the same people that will pay people to stand in line or overpay on Ebay for the new Iphone or Play Station. I have bought 4 guns since the pandemic began and have never paid more than the $50 fee. My Glovid-19 is working great after I put a red dot on it and had a custom cut in about a week. The news that people watch are a way to sell you stuff, emergencies and panics make people buy things. I only watch local news.

some of my guns went to storage "mothball fleet" from past ammo shortages

it was simply not practical to shoot some firearms during that time, scarcity, price gouging, limits on how much you could buy

I shot my old Mosin Nagant bolt action rifle for several years waiting for the ammo to get back to normal.

dont be surprised if this shortage / price gouging lasts for several years , now even reloading supplies are in short supply.

Old gunners learned a long time ago, but it when it's cheap and plentiful. Sell it to noobs when it's scarce and expensive.

This is prologue to the future. We are in a very lightweight indoctrination period of what the future will look like. Sort of like an overweight and out of shape individual deciding they want to run a marathon...this is their first quarter or half mile workout.

In the coming future, the shortage will either be due to continued world turmoil or regulatory edict. We are leaving the good old days of firearms behind.
