TSA “Refines” Rules for guns in checked baggage

Looks like a sales pitch for the OPs linked company wanting to sell their new and improved hard sided firearms case!
Yup, it is a new marketing ploy, for uninformed firearm owners wanting to travel on aircraft with their declared weapons and ammunition!
Yes, I just looked at the TSA web site, and no new changes listed as of July 31, 2020...
Learn how to properly prepare, pack and declare firearms and ammunition in checked baggage when flying. Review TSA rules, airline policies, and legal requirements.
It has been a hard sided case required for a firearm with non TSA available to open locks, since I have been flying for over 20 years now with declared firearms in a hard sided locked case, even with airlines no longer in existence.

The type of hard sided case that will hold 2 handguns, magazines, and ammunition with combo locks I use when flying... It is placed inside of checked luggage.

What you will find in your checked luggage, when the TSA has opened it up, to check on the contents.

That's what I thought and have experienced. I toss the pistol in a hard sided suitcase with my clothes & other stuff. Only once in six flights did I have Baby Huey/Barney TSA guy question it.
A locked hard sided case. That's it. Doesn't need to be separate from you other luggage.Comment

That's is one of the strangest websites that I've ever seen. There is no way to contact anyone at the company. You can't ask questions. There are no owner's names no phone numbers, No contact information of any kind.
If you sign up for one of their classes, it offers different dates and locations all around the country but nothing on the people teaching the class.

Here's the link to the TSA website on traveling with firearms. There is ZERO mention of any changes or that a separate internal hard case is now required.
Which leads me to believe Mr Farnham's posting is complete BS in an attempt to either make money personally, selling crappy cases, or driving business to a friend or family member.
If I'm wrong then I apologize but who posts something like this without a link to the source of the info...especially when we're talking about federal laws and regulations?
