Can't a bunch of folks who've lost things like guns and ammo get together and just sue FedEx for criminal negligence...i mean, technically it is a federal crime to steal "mailed" items such as the likes, or does it only apply to USPS mail....

I mean, this seems to be happening more often enough that it should be getting the attention of the FBI. Like if it were the movie "Broken Arrow" that nukes get stolen often enough, theres actually a term for it.

Here, its actually called theft...but damm it pisses me off hearing and reading that FedEx or any of the other carriers just don't do a damm thing about it. Can't even put trust in their employees anymore. Order something from an online vendor, then you gotta worry if your package will even arrive....especially now with the shortage of ammo.

Guess I'm just ranting and raving cause this **** needs to stop....

I ordered a holster that showed delivered by USPS on Friday. On Tuesday I tracked down the mailman and told asked this how it could happen. He gave me some BS story and the package was in my mailbox on Wednesday

I will say this much always expedite shipping if it's and expensive item and always take it to a hub not a retail location. If possible have the item delivered to the hub as it's easier to deal with them versus the drivers.

Ups has always sucked. I worked for them. Job was great but they did some screwy crap. Saw packages worth lots of money get destroyed and thrown around badly. They would just tape them up and not care. Saw a guy rushing and step on a package that his foot went through. They said no biggie and tapped it up. That are crappy as all hell.

Most of these shippers don't care and they don't pay good anymore so people have no pride in their job. You get mindless people doing this type of work who don't care and we pay for it.

            Fabulous.

I have 500 rounds of .45ACP that went AWOL at Fed Ex Bloomington on 7/21.

Multiple calls to their "customer service" has done nothing but elevate my blood pressure.

I have emailed the shipper, hoping they can light a fire under Fed Ex.

Until watching that video, I didn't even consider that real deal thieves are now in possession of my home address.
            Then said He unto them...
"and he that hath no 1911 designed by my servant John Moses Browning,
let him sell his garment and buy one."
And they said, "Lord, behold, here are two Glocks."
And He said unto them, "Meh, it's a good start."

            Luke 22:36-38 (somewhat paraphrased)

40 years ago, it was extremely difficult to get a job at UPS or Fed-Ex. There were background checks, personality tests, aptitude testing, and more - then there was often a waiting period to get hired. They paid extremely well whether you worked on the conveyor or were a driver.

Coincidentally (which was probably not much coincidence at all) service was exceptional; lost packages were rare, packages showed up looking as if they had just been boxed, service at the door was friendly, polite, and you knew your UPS or FedEx driver as well as you knew your neighbor.

However in just the recent dozen or so years, both companies have gone down-hill fast. It's clear that there is a lack of care at all stages of delivery and the 'handling' part of "shipping and handling" is clearly not important anymore.

Maybe that has to do with the "express" shipping expectations people have for ALL shipping methods, so haste makes waste, or just that hiring standards are not what they used to be.

No matter the reason, both companies are rather lousy shells of their former selves.

Fed Ex Bloomington is a well known location where packages get stolen.
Through enough research, you will realize that 99% of delayed packages that contains firearm related material at this location is considered a lost or stolen.
