Why is adding to number of gun owners in America funny?
We added 2 million new owners to the club in 2020.
When you are on your deathbed will you really care what you paid?Comment

You are among the un-informed. You should have paid a bit more attention in US History and Civics classes in high school.
Informed and enlightened gun enthusiasts welcome the new gun owners to our ranks. Conditions finally got to the point where the light turned on and these individuals realized they had a need to exercise their God given right, an inalienable right, unique to Americans, to keep and bear arms. Why would any reasonably informed and educated gun owner "laugh" at these people for exercising this right?
To any new gun owner reading the OP, ignore him. The majority of long-term and newer gun owners are happy to have you in our ranks.Benefactor Life Member, National Rifle Association

I say if you comfortably have the means, get what you want and be happy. You probably won't miss the cheddar later on, and an awesome firearm is the gift that keeps on giving! That's any red blooded American's personal decision...including how to spend their own time and money. I tip my hat to you guys and gals doing it, because I personally don't have the patience for all that is currently going on. It would probably cause me anxiety, matter of fact.
Perhaps the OP was just introducing a bit humor that didn't quite land. Not sure, but let's not be too serious.Comment

People wanting protection isn’t something I’d laugh at. The prices are ridiculous but this is just what it is at the moment. If prices remain like this from here on out, people trying to capitalize on the market by selling their arms for a profit may end up kicking themselves.Comment

OP, it makes me feel glad that I had the foresight to acquire what I have before any of this occurred. That said, no I don't laugh at those facing these kinds of prices. And to be honest, I wish more members would lighten up the pandemic pricing a bit in the interest of looking out for each other and recruiting new members. Greed is the most common cause of "blindness".
Free market is great, but so is generosity. Plenty of people could profit quite well without charging 2-2.5 times the price of a gun.

Not at all. The more gun owners the better, period. There is a price for everything. Supply and demand meet at different points at different times. I have lived through many buying frenzies. Sucks for those of us that know things will calm down eventually, but I would rather have more people as armed gun owners than not.Comment

Man you guys are sticks in the mud some times. I find it funny watching people figure out big daddy government can't save you and isn't there for you. We'll see how these people choose to vote. If they continue to vote left then we'll know they are only doing it because they were scared by the mobs and are happy to give more power to the state.Just a libertarian guy in a Leftist Authoritarian state.
