Nothing like having another appreciative California customer.
Gee, I wonder why some out of State companies refuse to send stuff here.

Midway is one of the best companies out there. They sent a blanket letter out to apologize for delays and OP gets worked up-- Despite his not having dealt with them for over a year due to some perceived slight that made him angry. I guess he wasn't mad enough to unsubscribe however.

Brownells shipping is garbage, and I'm concerned that they're going the way of Midway in general.

I got the same letter from MidwayUSA and I haven't ordered anything from them in probably a year. It was just a mass mailer that went out to all their customers.

I got the same email, and a very similar one from Bud's.

These are crazy times. Everyone at my LGS looks like they haven't slept in a year, and I know that all the delivery services are are completely swamped because everyone is buying EVERYTHING online now. It's not these retailers fault that orders are slow to be delivered. Cut them some slack and just be thankful that anything is shipping at all.

Midway turned their back on us on Magazine Freedom Week.

I never bought from them again after that.

I got tired of them years ago. They were sending me emails saying stuff was shipped, yet the shipper didn't pick it up until 2-3 days later. It was a game they were playing, telling you it's shipped when they printed the label. Parts weren't even packed yet.
They pulled some funny business a few years ago on back ordered components too.
I decided to find other places to shop.
They are not as bad as Optics Planet though. Optics Planet is worse than the USPS or the DMV.
There are some people that it's just not worth engaging.

I bought a crapton of magazines from Midway during Freedom Week. Prices were good and most orders shipped the next day.

I had ordered some Talley rings/bases from them (standard/low), and received intermediate. 2 days after submitting a return or exchange for the correct size, I received the email apology letter. The same day, I also received confirmation that my replacement order had been shipped. Even being overwhelmed, they were on it, to make things right.

Man some of you guys are too used to Amazon Prime shipping.

Brownells and Midway shipping have always been fine with me

OP, sorry but you're sounding like an Amazon-spoiled Karen.

They are an online retailer. The logistics of their operation lies in the hands of third party freight carriers. When those carriers are overloaded, understaffed, and several days delayed, what is Midway supposed to do? Catapult items to you?

Have you ever run an internet business? Try it some day. See how "easy" it is when carriers are delayed, or lose or damage items. It isn't the carrier that takes the heat, its the retailer... because people don't understand how it works and who's actually at fault.

Would you prefer Midway just shut down and take an extended vacation, so that none of their products are available? I understand these situations are frustrating, but please maintain some perspective.
