Do you think about selling?

Looking at the market place is depressing. I'm always a buyer and never been a seller since 2008/9. That was circumstances I can't ever go through again; so I just like to accumulate firearms as a hobby, collection, and they are fun too shoot if I can afford doing so. So should I unload those few firearms I obtained over the last 5 years that don't fit me right? I shot them once or twice and put them away and don't plan on dragging them out again? It seems like we may be at the peak of prosperity in terms of selling high? If A G19x3 is now $700 as a norm wouldn't some other $400-500 dollar guns be up some too?

Yeah it's certainly a sellers market. I've been thinking of selling a few guns that I didnt really love or enjoy so I could turn a bit of a profit.

You on the other hand, it seems that you've already made up your mind on a few of the pieces in your collection. By all means, move them on down the road. Hopefully they find their way into a pair of hands that feel differently about them. Someone else gets what they want now, and you get some cash to maybe get what you want later.

Sure, why not? Guns you don't want that are sitting idle do nobody any good. If you have three $400 guns that you can get $800 for, that's $2400 for something really cool, gun or not.

Eh, I could clean out my closet and be out of partially sentimental stuff - many times I’ve thought of how simple it would be to pare things down to brass tacks, so-to-speak. Good thing I’m lazy and not motivated y money

I generally think folks aren't idiots. $700+ Gen3 Glocks aren't getting anything but bumps from the OP's. $1000+Gen4/5 are in the same boat.

There was a $1600 Les Baer Custom Carry posted and in 30 minutes it had a potential buyer.

Then there was another Les Baer Custom Carry at $2600 (remember folks this is ON ROSTER) and guess what, no bites.

I've got one Wilson Combat up for sale at a less than MSRP asking, and an upgraded TRP at a reasonable price (actually under MSRP as well). I'm not looking to take advantage of anyone, but they are pricier and I'm not planning to give them away.

Folks will probably pay a premium, but they are not desperate idiots.

I'm simply hoping to move mine at around my originally intended asking prices with the hope the market helps me out with 1911's that are otherwise a little harder to match buyers to.

I saw a used Glock 19 sell on gunbroker for 769 today. A new one for 850, and another new one for 965. All CA guns.

If people's Glocks aren't selling in the marketplace, they need to get on gb.

I've had a very basic home defense shotgun in there for $275.00. I got a few major low ballers but that was it. I was kind of surprised. I've got so many shotguns I might as well unload one.

selling guns sucks (i over bought this year, and I had to let 3 guns go) but if they are not guns you're going to use, then I say sell them. You'll get a good price for them right now

Honestly if they don't bring you any enjoyment or use for you selling them is a good idea. Then you can just set that money aside for better pursuits (bills, money in the bank, spending money for your next firearm or ammo purchase).

I guess I should be thankful the few firearms I've sold I don't have any regrets about. Then again it helped that all but one of them I already had a duplicate of in the safe.
