Anyone try this? They call it a linear comp but sounds just like a supressor:

Not a suppressor. Linear comp with a crap/carbon collector that should redirect the report to the front. There are lots of examples of these style muzzle fobs out there in the wild.
That outer shroud is just another PITA piece to maintain and having a harder time trying to decrapify the actual inner piece.
Stay with a good linear comp IMO. I use them. -
It just looks like a hard pass.Comment

There's quite a lot of different devices that have this concept. Strike Oppressor, VG6 Cage, Blast Forwarding device by Indian Creek, etc.
Still going to be super loud, but just everything is redirected forwardComment

i understand, but check this out:
this seems by far the best blast diffuser ive seenComment

Numbers seem to be pretty promising, it's almost suppressor levels of noise reduction, though I wonder what would happen if used in a hallway (as in, home defense situation) -- I imagine much of the sound is bounced back off the walls toward you.i understand, but check this out:

I also wonder how much the other designs do to reduce noise at your ear, it has to be somewhat.Comment

a lot of different variables come into play on this but theres another video that showed the kvp linear comp (a very popular one) hitting 152db.Numbers seem to be pretty promising, it's almost suppressor levels of noise reduction, though I wonder what would happen if used in a hallway (as in, home defense situation) -- I imagine much of the sound is bounced back off the walls toward you.

Just ordered one. Looks really neat to be honest, I’ll try and compare with the surefire warden, although just from the test videos it seems like it will perform far better as a blast forwarder.02.28.22 - Application mailed

So. Are these considered flash suppressors? Can they be used on featureless builds? I'm also having the same qualms with the Griffon Armament Gen 2 QD Blast Shield.Comment

Are they cal legal? Or are they like the fuel filters I keep seeing ads forYou want to make a conservative mad, tell him a lie or tell a lie about him... You want to make a liberal mad, tell him the truth, or tell the truth about him - Lou HoltzComment

Honestly, it’s been a while since I used the SME but it was tough to gauge any substantial difference between it and the warden. Particularly because I had the SME on a 16” MCX in 300 Blk and the Warden on a 10.3” Mk18 mod 3(ish) in 5.56 lol. I’m truly not disappointed in the SME though, it did direct blast forward quite well and I was pretty happy with the muzzle break that accompanies it too.Last edited by seaweedsoyboy; 04-13-2021, 7:02 PM.02.28.22 - Application mailed
