AR15 Fin & Quick Disconnect

On your typical AR15 grip fin, can anyone think of a way to make this a quick disconnect setup?

Instead of screws, could strong magnets be used? Do they make low profile attachment that would work as a quick disconnect?

Not an AR expert but isn't that fin supposed to be permanent to make it legal?
Not a quick release fin but there are several model of fin grips (monster, etc), some with a thumb rest, that look far better (no disrespect to yours) and comfortable to grip and operate the gun.

Don't forget about the safety detent spring. Or have extras. Or both

Just leave one screw tight enough to hold it on if it’s really that big of a deal to undo three screws. How quick do you need it to be? I can undo that in probably 30 seconds.

Take a look at the Ledesma Arms grip.

I think the jury is still out on if this grip is compliant.

It can transition between a standard grip and a compliant grip by loosening a screw, adjusting the grip then tightening it back down.

I have always heard that the fin must be permanent in some sort of way, but no one has actually ever pointed to a case law, definition in the actual law, or a CA DOJ memo regarding fin grips.

All you have to do is, press a button inside the grip and slide it off, then slide on the Magpul backstrap

I just change the whole grip out. Remember to keep the rifle upside down and it will take you less than 5 minutes to swap. If you were to get a grip with a thumb rest you wouldn't probably even care to swap them out.

I went the other route, removed the screws and placed kydex eyelets in mine to make it permanent. Not taking them out of the state right now and if need I can easily enough remove or remove the grip and place another grip on it.
