LA County sheriff to increase CCWs?

Just caught this on Briebart.

Anyone here know the in's and out's of how to do this? The LA County Sheriff's info pdf states an 8 hour training/proficiency course must be passed. Who offers those classes and what? Awards a completion certificate?

Also have another friend that prefers having a lawyer or someone very experienced with CA CCW help him with his --anyone know someone I can refer him too?

Also, did you take your ccw class(es)? This would be discussed there, especially in/near the LA region

starting on Oct 01 through today you’ll read about 9 CGNers who’ve been issued a LASD CCW by AV. They all have Dark Red or Light Red GC. My posts announcing them are easily found by skimming the thread looking for 3 party emoticons clumped together.
