I think AR pistols are stupid with that damn buffer tube sticking out, I’d never buy one. AK pistols are much better, but still wouldn’t pay anywhere close to a grand for one. Think my Draco was $600 OTD, they are all a novelty with no real purpose or practicality. Mostly for people that want to pretend they have a SBR with the funky forearm strap thing.

Don't know why people want them, but they're priced high because people buy them. If no one buys, price will come down.

Thank the advancement of pistol braces to where they're the best way to get around filing the paperwork for an SBR when instead you can buy an AR/AK pistol and toss a brace on their, and now you have an SBR minus a 9 month wait, minus the 200 dollar tax stamp, and minus submitting paperwork to cross state lines with it.

Also doesn't help that for all intents and purposes in CA the only legal way to get an AR/AK pistol is relying on the LE crowd to buy them and then turn around and sell them, then fix mag it and turn it into a novelty piece that gets looks at the range, which adds up fast.

Get a brn180s upper. Bufferless. You can put it on a new CA7 and you are good to go.
