Declaring your domicile as an "autonomous free zone" with ties to Texas as your benefactor would create a ton of lolz as well. Yay no more state tax!

Surely the dems would be cool with this. I mean I'm just following Seattle's lead right?

We already have red and blue enclaves. California is a one party state.

It may only be the "Adult" in me talking, but it appears that these guys are using water and electricity. At the end of the month who gets the bill?
And when the CHAZites use the bill for TP the utilities get shut off, right?
              uh-oh.

And the people that have homes there? They are effectively hostages.

Whoever owns or rents the buildings the utilities are connected to. If I had a shop in there that was already trashed, I would call my utility company and stop service. Of course, they would probably say they couldn't get in there to disconnect and continue charging.

I would hope that everyone with a stake in there has lawyers warming up in the bullpen to sue the city. Now that the idiot mayor is on record calling it a block party, it's apparent she's got no intention of doing her duty and rooting those *ssholes out of there.

I wouldn't want to be a taxpayer in Seattle.

Unfortunately for those homeowners remaining in the occupied area, yes they are hostages. I would bet however that with the absence of said utilities, the goblins would depart in short order.
Hopefully some of the goblins will be "reduced" when it comes time to end this.

California, for all it's lunacy would not let that happen. The politicians know that rich and famous people voting democrat wouldn't continue if the riff-raff were allowed out of their tightly controlled habitats.

"They" would never let that happen. Well, I shouldn't say never, but it won't be easy. The city is providing porta-potties and trash pickup for crying out loud.

I have a co-worker who lives in Seattle, he tells me that nobody lives in this area. It’s just businesses

There are something like 150 residences in occupied seattle.

The police chief said their response time went from 5 mins to 20 in this area. So it isn't clear how autonomous this area is.

If I was a business owner if be rather pissed off the government just walked and left me to deal with this insurrection. If lived in area well if be livid.

It would be an interesting lawsuit for those lawful citizens within the "CHAZ" perimeter, to file against the City of Seattle, for not providing police protection, and to seek damages for all property damaged or lost.
