Fwiw, I just stopped by Walmart a few hours ago and it looks like they dropped their price on the wwb 100rd .45 value packs to 22.27. That was their price like 2 months ago, then it went up to 25 something like someone posted. Now they dropped the price. This was at the Brea store. So maybe they might have dropped some of their prices back a little at all the stores.

I couldn't believe it, then the clerk is walking by and says: "that is good shooting ammo" to which I replied: "not at $17.00 more than what it cost at Walmart for the same exact thing".
I have bought 4000 rounds of the 180 frn TMJ reloads in 40 S&W from Miwall and it was always $125.00 (the last being at the Reno show in Nov.). It is good stuff, my CZ eats it like candy and it's fairly economical. I am getting a reloader for x-mas (Santa told me!) and was wondering if it is really that much cheaper to reload after factoring in all the cost of materials. Currently I spend about $35.00 per weekend in 40 ammo alone (at .13 per round) and hope to enjoy some significant savings by reloading.Comment

Whenever I need to restock ammo, my first stop is www.outdoormarksman.com. It only makes sense if you're buying a lot, as the shipping costs spread out a lot more, but they have some of the best prices on certain ammo. Add it to the basket, put in your zip code, and it'll calculate shipping.
They have reloads even cheaper, but I've mostly given up shooting reloads except .38 spl.
They don't beat Walmart on some prices, like 9mm WWB, and their .38 spl prices aren't great, but I recently got some .223, .380, and various CCI .22 and .22 mag for reasonable prices and shipping. Definitely cheaper than anyone I've found in the San Jose area.sigpic

I was just at the WalMart in Milpitas today and bought a bunch of Blazer Brass 45 ACP for $9.97/box of 50 Also bought their last box of 40S&W BB for $8.37
Their other ammo prices were not particularly bad either such as 100 rds of 12 Ga Winchester trap loads for $15.50
But I'd say buy that Blazer Brass ammo before they get wise to the prices other shops are charging-- ie Sportsmen's Supply charges $15/box for the same stuff
Wal Mart had zero 223, and way overpriced 7.62x39 USA White box ammo (Like $18/40) and I didn't even bother to ask what their UMC 100 rd boxes of 45 were going for. This Blazer Brass ammo is good stuff and wal Mart is selling it very cheap.
Its worth a looksigpicNRA Benefactor MemberComment
