Generally and under more normal circumstances, when there may be one or two bad guys, I'd agree with this statement. But when an angry and riled up crowd of people wants to loot/destroy/burn down your store/home, two shots wouldn't be sufficient and as soon as you pop open the barrels to reolad you may be thinking at that moment a semi-auto shotgun wasn't such a bad idea after all. These are not reasonable times or reasonable crowds IMO.

Question: Who would EVER need more than ten rounds in a magazine?
Answer: The person defending their home/family/life from 50 rioters bent on destruction and violence.

My friends all want the extra lowers i bought awhile ago.
Told them to get in line at the lgs. I will gladly help them build a rifle but i stocked up in advance for a reason.
It is annoying to wait 40 minutes just for a gas tube though but i wanted it now.

I’m most very definitely unreasonable then....like really unreasonable but not even half as unreasonable as most of the guys on this board who are completely unfreakingreasonable....

My baseline minimum level of reasonableness would be a Benelli M2 stuffed with 5 rounds of buckshot or slugs, or a Ruger Mini 14 with a 20 round clip.

Oh and I can run 25 straight at skeet too with a double barrel Geurini and a box of ammo as an encore....

Now all of a sudden, having a firearm makes sense and is needed (again, according to the line of people waiting in the 105 degree sun). Personal defense for you and your home/family is just that, personal. To expect the police to be able to protect you is wishful thinking at best IMO and that level of wishfulness would only exist when times are completely normal. Times are not at all normal and based on the length of the line to try and purchase a firearm, these holdouts are realizing that ultimately, their safety is their own responsibility.

I was at a gun shop and there was also lines and a lot of first time buyers. Some flat out told me that they cant believe America has come to the point where they would need a firearm at home. They didnt know what a FSC was or why they had to take the test. They told the owner they shouldn't have to take "some test" to be able to purchase a firearm. They were also asking other folks in line what brand was good and safe to buy. Wow.

Sounds exactly what California politicians would say. "No reasonable person needs more than 10 rounds per magazine", "No reasonable person needs a pistol grip, barrel shroud, suppressor, telescoping stock", etc.

What you are saying will possibly be the future here. "No reasonable person needs more than an O/U or S/S shotgun with 2 shots for home defense". Now if I can't hit the bad guy in 2 shots, just like the 10 round mag, I shouldn't own a gun because police will do better to protect me? GTFO with that crap.

Another person asked if they could pay extra to have their backorder filled faster... I told that person they'd need a lot of money to pay the manufacturer to build their handgun before anyone else's.

Haha , it sure wasn't Big5 in Lakewood they have like 2-3 shotguns , a PC Carbine , a mini 14 and 2-3 .22 rifles. Oh and hardly any ammo. It's so bad there they have rearranged the whole gun shelf set up and added a glass case for the small amount of ammo.

But they do have a lot of pellet guns lmao.
