    OMG...LGS lines!

So I was out running errands yesterday afternoon (have to get stuff done before the curfew begins nightly) and stopped by my local gun shop. Was a bit caught off guard by how full the parking lot was as things had calmed down since the C-19 craziness/rush to buy.

For whatever reason, I just wasn't thinking or connecting the "dots" regarding all the recent protesting/looting activity. Parked my car and noticed the line to get into the LGS was wrapped around the corner shop next to the LGS. My first thought was WTF?

Then it hit me...all the folks who have stood by telling everyone they don't need a firearm because that's what the police are there for (and even these folks in line kept the same perspective for the first ~10 weeks of the C-19 shelter in place mandate and felt a firearm was unnecessary, otherwise they wouldn't be in line NOW) have suddenly realized the police CAN'T be there for them as they are spread too thin when whatever degree of civil decency we HAD is suddenly gone and the police have their hands more than full dealing with the violence and looting so they are unable to respond to your call for help.

Now all of a sudden, having a firearm makes sense and is needed (again, according to the line of people waiting in the 105 degree sun). Personal defense for you and your home/family is just that, personal. To expect the police to be able to protect you is wishful thinking at best IMO and that level of wishfulness would only exist when times are completely normal. Times are not at all normal and based on the length of the line to try and purchase a firearm, these holdouts are realizing that ultimately, their safety is their own responsibility.

Funny thing is the riots will probably be over before they can pick up their guns. All the protestors will either be down with covid or onto the next outrage.

The time to prep is before the chaos. I think all of us on here are clearly aware of that.

Yeah. Probably, the black market is a better bet for them. With CADOJ delaying the BG checks past 30 days, it will be an eye-opener for many. However, i totally expect they will continue voting for the same liberal Dems

But the mainstream media told them if they ask for "The Gun Show loophole special" they get their guns instantly and without any paperwork.

I got a feeling there's going to be Karen's that want to speak to managers.

Maybe the gun store employees can tell them the managers they need to talk to are at the doj?

do not feel a bit sorry for the morons.
Also the ones that did not have ammo for the firearms they already own.

Confirmed, Sacramento lines are long again. Luckily I was picking up and they gave me priority to skip 20 people. Also, I heard the clerk say over the phone that if you're not buying a gun they are not doing FSC tests. They didn't want to lose a sale.

I didn't realize that there was such a good supply of guns and ammo right now, I need to get out more.

Sounds like a lot of hassle when they can just buy guns over teh intarweb.

WRT the police, whether they can be there or not is not even the whole question. Because as we've all seen, sometimes they are told to do nothing, so even if they are there, you might still be robbed/beaten up/have your property vandalized and set on fire.

Hate to say it but you’d be better off taking a trip up to Butte County (if you’re in the Bay Area) to buy a gun - make a day trip out of it, no lines that I saw.

                            Talk about Red Pilled.

These self defense converts are undoubtedly the same "smart" people who thought PREPPING was for redneck hillbillies. Of course, the "smart" people lucked out, because the Chinese-flu turned out to be a nothing-burger compared to a REAL disaster.

Hopefully, these people will learn some important lessons, but I'm not holding my breath.
sigpicC'mon man, shouldn't we ban Democracks from Cal-Guns? Or at least send them to re-education camps.
