Easiest way will be to attend their monthly meetings which happens on 1st Thur of each month, go to the club at around 5pm and get a free meal and then attend the meeting. The membership chair person will be there and can take your application there.

You need to be a US citizen and also a NRA member.

Can you provide a link to the info or the address where the meeting will be held?

I talked with a friend who is a member at sunnyvale rod and gun club recently. He said that they have cancelled the membership meetings during their whole covid 19 event. He said no way to attempt to join at this point. I've also heard that at times they have a multi year waiting list to join.

Take that for what it's worth, I have no affiliation with the club and he may have bad info. It's just what he told me.

yes they have cancelled in-person meetings for the forceable future & as for joining I'm pretty sure there is always a way but I am unsure as to the current process - the best thing to do would be to email the membership comity, which can be found on the clubs website

Scratch that. I called. Lady answered. I could hear gunfire in the background. It sounded glorious. She said yes still open for appointments.

Glorious day at Metcalf yesterday. Sunny and cold. I've gone a few times since the appointment scheme started and it seems like half the people don't even show up.

How far in advance did you book your appointments? The pistol ranges are booked for quite awhile.

The jerks have to ruin everything. Reservations are only $6.00 so I think people are taking a lot of dates but not using them. I booked my 2 days in December in early November. I estimate half the people actually show up. It's nice that nobody is shooting near you but somebody could be using those lanes. I don't know what there policy would be if you just showed up to take one of those spots. I would call first. Reserve a couple future dates and you'll have something to look forward to.

I saw one of the RO's let one person without appointment use a reserved lane and if the original person show up, they have to give it up, but the non-RO lady who checks people in are not that flexible and saw her turn away some folks.

Obscure question...will they let you inside to use the restroom?

Last time I was there, they had porta potties. They were the big handicapped size ones. Seemed very clean to me.
