I have owned and operated a company for 40 years. Recently I started coming home at 1:00 in the afternoon instead of 5 or 6.
Made a big difference. I still get work done, but get valuable family time as well. It may not work for everybody, but it seems to work for me.
One lesson I have learned. A business can consume you and take all your time. Don't be afraid to make your family a priority.
