    Ruger 9mm Carbine

What do you guys think? Hard not to like the 9mm cartridge, Glock magazine interchangeability, take down capability, easy to stow and pack and best of all no evil features that will draw the attention of the "man"

    Alquist in Turlock priced $514

I had one. It functioned well. I sold it because I think those guns are ugly and I didn't like it alongside my other guns which have wood furniture. If Boyd's or whoever comes out with a nice wood stock for the PC Carbine, I might another one. The PC Carbine is also a bit heavy for a 9mm carbine. But except for the way it looks it's a great gun.

As a kid growing up I've always wanted to own a MP40, of course, never will, but this will get me a semi-auto 9mm pretend

I picked one up because it was cool and the price was righter than what you are looking at. Took the $100 I saved and put a Sig Romeo5 on it.

        It is fun.

        It is also heavy.

Is it more accurate than, lighter than or easier to carry than my M9A3, G34 or X5? No.

        It is fun though.

(okay, it is more accurate than the M9A3)

Honestly, I can't think of a single reason not to buy one. For what they offer - a 9mm carbine that's CA compliant right out of the box, takes glock mags, and easy do dress up - I think the value is unbeatable.

I now own 2. His and hers. My first (the M-LOK version) had issues. It would stove pipe and double feed consistently. The longest it went without a malfunction was 98 rds. I tried everything, different mags, deep cleaning, different shooters, nothing fixed it. So I called Ruger.

Ruger had me send the gun in under warranty. They paid ALL shipping charges (unlike many companies). They replace the extractor as well as several other parts.

Since getting the gun back its been perfect through 400 rds. I'll be taking it out again soon.

They're really good guns at an unbeatable price. I paid $575 and $515 for mine. And Ruger's service is second to none.

              Yes slightly. I own both.

My kids love it. Makes it easy for them to practice transition skills (G-19 mags), works good with a sling, and endlessly digests the cheap Russian steel-cased ball all day & night. I put a Leupold DeltaPoint RDS on it; hits are easy and fast.
The only issue: you must use loc-tight on the charging handle and forearm screws. No issues after that. Cleaned after first 1K rounds, it just keeps going.

I have one, it’s a really fun rifle. I was hitting clay pigeons out at 115 yards with it. Ca compliant, so no drama there, it’s a take down. Takes same mags as my carry gun. Mine has functioned 100% so far. Been looking for the right price for a red dot, I suppose I can pull my Comp M5 off another rifle.

Ruger pc carbine with free float handguard

Ruger introduces six new PC Carbine configurations, with three free-float handguard models chambered in 9mm and three standard models offered in .40 S&W.

the Ruger carbine with free float handguard kind of resembles a Russian Burp gun if you like the old WW2 MP40

                            TURNER's had these

                              ^^^
What is that contraption around the barrel for?

Sure looks like it makes a heavy rifle (for what it shoots) even heavier.
