Poway Weapons & Gear has the nicest indoor facilities I know of. 100/50/25 yds & a nice gun/gear store. Good selection of weapons to rent. North County Firearms also has a nice new 25 yd indoor range.

A Place to Shoot in Saugus is the best all around public/membership range I've been to in the general L.A. area. I was a member from the day it opened until I moved out of state. Excellent staff and a variety of fun ranges. Wish they could have moved with me! I tried Burro Canyon, the range that is now closed that was co-located in a gravel mining area, and Angeles and couldn't abide any of them

Pala is great but it’s hell and gone from most people in what I would consider Southern California.

Best Public Indoor range is Poway Weapons and Gear

-They have 25, 50, and 100 yard lanes.
-Lane rental fee is very low.
                  -No membership needed.
-They allow steel cased ammo (Wolf, Tula, etc)
                  -They allow drawing from holsters
                  -Place is air conditioned.
-Pro shop has a large selection of firearms for sale, okay selection of rental guns.

This was my favorite place to shoot when I still lived in SD county.

No outdoor ranges in my area and three indoor ranges to choose from.
I'm a member at Insight Shooting Range in Artesia because it's the closest of the three. I hear it gets crowded on the weekend but I only go during the day on weekdays. One advantage is that rifles are allowed.

I called last week and got no answer. Now that LA County has extended the panic until July 30th I don't know when they will be open.

My favorite of the three close to me.

I mostly go to Sharpshooter mid-week since it is closest.
Can't recommend it since the place is poorly maintained.

                          I’ll second sharpshooters

Once known To them or you take a class, you can shoot from the holster
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

By the time my range opens I will have lost several months of my annual membership. I won't know until they open how they are going to handle that. There's no one there to answer the phone and they have no lockdown information on their website. I'll just have to wait and see.

FYI, Burbank Firing Line has announced that they will be back open this Saturday, May 16, at 10am. They are open until 10pm.

They also have a Huntington Beach location.
