    Buying slides from opticsplanet

Has anyone ever had any problems buying complete slide assembly from opticsplanet? I tried ordering a beretta 92fs vertec slide on two different occasions and they wouldn't ship it to California. I even tried having it shipped to Arizona and they still wouldn't sell to me if my credit card was a California address.
I called many times and got the run around to email their risk management team and blah blah blah.
Anyone else have trouble with optics planet?

It could be a Prop 65 thing with that particular slide.

Get a VISA gift card, buy the slide and have it shipped to your out of state remailer. Do not use a CA ship or bill address.

I couldn't find a visa that let me have more than 200 bucks. Can I use two separate visa cards?

Not sure if this is the case, but is it your first time ordering on Optics?
The fact that you were referred to their risk management team, they need to verify your cc and etc.
This was my experience with other vendors in the past when ordering for the first time.

Reason was that the billing and shipping address did not match and they wanted to verify.

I've tried to make two purchases in my life from Optics Planet - the first, two years ago - of some KNS side panels for my Bren 805.

After a week of waiting with no shipping date, I ordered directly from KNS - for $20 less. They arrived within the week.

The following week - with STILL no shipping date - I cancelled the OpticsPlanet order.

On April 2, I ordered a sling and some mounts from them.

After a week of waiting with no shipping date, I ordered directly from Midwest Industries, and got a better deal. They arrived within the week.

On April 27 - STILL with no shipping date - I cancelled the order.

If OpticsPlanet offered me the company, my unborn grandkids would be deceased, before they delivered.

I tried to order a Beretta 92 Compact barrel from them. Got a similar "compliance problem" message. They canceled my order.

I wanted the barrel to convert a Model 96 Centurion to 9 mm. MidwayUSA and Beretta show out of stock. Guess I'll wait and see.

buy an Amex card then, up to $3,000 on those and you can pay for the gift card with a credit card

Why dance around with a crap vendor? Isn't there other purchase options?

^This. OP is a company that is to be avoided. They are in the same category as Cheaper than Dirt.

What county or city do you live in? I purchased a 9mm upper from them with no problem but heard another person get there order cancelled so I’m wondering if certain cities/counties might be on that list of no shipping too.

There are dozens and dozens of online retailers to choose from. One problem and I'm off to the next one.

This. Snoopy is concise as usual.

Would if I could. They are the only people who sell assembled vertec slides that have been in stock this past year. Next option is brownells for 100 bucks more plus assembling it.

What good is that price if you never get it? It could be free and still do you no good.

I refuse to do business with vendors who lie, OP is awful, getting worse as time goes on.
