    When will ammo shortage end???

So I spent most of today bouncing from Wal-Mart to Wal-Mart, then Big 5's. then local Gun store... I'm just looking for a couple of boxes (100 rounds) of 40 S&W. The guy's behind the counter pretty much just laugh & tell me "You have to get here right after the truck arrives..."

I'm not looking at hoarding ammo, I just want to pick up a couple of boxes to take to the range (I'd rather not shoot range reloads).

Everyone on this board takes part in a great hobby / sport / activity --> Shooting; But now it's like owning a camera with no film... Is everyone that scared of what stupid law(s) Obama or congress might pass that they are stocking up, so they will have enough ammo to last them the rest of their lives?

I just hope this hysteria ends soon, so we can all just get back to shooting & being able to walk into a store & buy a box of ammo without worrying that there wont be any when we get there.

Maybe never. I think there will be plenty of ammo when the war ends.

it will end sooner or later. Im slowly starting to see ammo sit for more than a day or two.

                It can only get better.

I'm thinking sooner. Probably a month or three.

The hoarders will eventually run out of cash and/or space and the production is already up so eventually it'll catch up.

The weird thing is that I see .40 EVERYWHERE. Now .38 or .45, that's a different story.

Or maybe it's because everyone migrated to .22. Everyone is buying .22 because it's cheaper and not the other calibers as much thus allowing them to catch up a little.

I noticed exactly the same thing. I have been looking for some 9x19 and .45acp to no avail, but l always see lots of .40 on the shelves. It makes me wish I bought a .40.
