      Rust?

      870 is rustless and the Glock has rust? That ain't right when turned at any angle.

      I edc Glocks and never have rust on/in them. Something else is afoot.

        Get a hygrometer and put it in your safe. You’ll know how well desiccant is working. You have to remember that if you open and close the door a lot you’re introducing humid air into the safe again. That coupled with not recharging the desiccant will cause problems.

            Are you sure it's not a mark from brass or copper rubbing against that area?

            You pic is to small and blurry to really see anything.

              I have never heard of nor seen rust on any part of the outside of the slide where the Tenifer-finish resides, even those from the 1980s that look like they have lived under a car seat since that time.

              For that matter, I've never seen rust on a Glock, at all. That would be a very rare case, even in a 'damp' safe.

              However, I have seen copper rubs get on that portion and it then looks like a spot of rust.

                WD-40 and 4 ought steel wool if that is in fact rust,Could also be bug poop which living in the mountains happens all the time in any case it will work on both problems.

                  I used an old toothbrush and Solvent and the marks came off. Thank u guys for all the feedback.
