    GunWorld in Burbank review

Just wanted to share my experience that I had at GunWorld today. Went in to do a PPT with a GunBroker dealer. That went fine without a hitch. Fast & friendly.

The store is stock to the brim with guns and ammo unlike Turner's. I am sure you all know the reason why. Turner's marks items to sell. GunWorld's prices are just a tad higher. But GW does have many items in stock that I have not seen at other stores in quite awhile.

I did find a little gem hiding in a corner over there. I've found a Marlin 39A for $249 in good shape and could not past on the deal.

So thumbs up to GW in Burbank.

GW is definitely not bad. I got a Binelli M4 from them a while back and a Beretta 96. Cool guys there. I just wished they were OLL friendly so I could support their business more. Did they have anything else cool there? Last I checked (which was a while ago) they had an M1919

i didn't get a friendly response there, probably because my friend was in there to ask about OLL's and parts, they just said "too much hassle" and walked away from us to stand around elsewhere pretending to look busy. but i guess once you're ready to drop some money in their shop on what they have on hand they'll gladly listen to you :P

Terrible customer service, they don't like doing PPT, will make you wait hours before they begin the paperwork. The guys behind the counter have a ****ty attitude and will try to sell you a cheap gun lock for 20.00 when you do the transfer. Their prices on firearms are way over priced. In conclusion, they are NOT customer friendly which is why I will never visit their store again.

I go in there once in a while since I live in Burbank....The only thing I've ever bought from them is CLP and a boresnake. They overprice everything. I recently saw a GSG-5 completely stock for $899!

Anyway, its a nice store to go in a see/feel/handle a gun you might be looking to buy, but I will never purchase anything from them.

They don't have enough staff to help people out, that's my main complaint.

No problems with Gun World for me. Got a Glock through them and good to go. Cool guys, at least the ones that helped me out.

                    I like your attitude.

For the most part I feel the same way, my only problem with GW really are their prices, but I have done a couple ppts through them do to the sellers request.

Fun store to checkout a bunch of cool guns though.

                      GW in Burbank

-They'll always take care of customers before PPT's. But the PPT transaction itself is painless, competent, and fast compared to Turners.

-They do have a pretty wide selection and the guns are displayed nicely.

-Their prices used to be pretty competitive Pre-Obama. The price on the tag didn't necessarily mean that was the price you had to pay. Post-Obama today, the price on the tag is the price you pay.

                      - The owner isn't very friendly. But most of his employee are. They're helpful and pretty knowledgeable. On the weekends when they can be swamped these days they'll feel the pressure of customers and you will too. So you gotta be patient.

You have good taste. That's a great deal on a great rifle.

What do you need guns for if you are going to send your children, seven hours a day, 180 days a year to government schools? What do you need the guns for at that point?-- R. C. Sproul, Jr. (unconfirmed)

At the same thought, people WILL spend more than the regular price in today's state of affairs regarding guns.
